1. What is spectrum retuning?
As directed by the SKMM, all key operators are required to retune their respective network frequencies.
2. How long will the whole retuning of spectrum process take?
To minimise impact to customers retuning, is done between 1-4am with possible intermittent service interruptions, primarily for 2G customers.
The exercise will be done in phases:
- Southern Region on 5 Oct 2016
- Northern Region on 14 Sept 2016
- Other Regions: To be updated at a later date
3. What is the possible impact to my network experience?
There is a possibility of call drops and SMS/text messaging delays during the retuning exercise (between 1-4am).
Mobile Broadband Survey 2016
This is to inform that the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is extending the Mobile Broadband Survey 2016. Canvassing period is from 9 August 2016 until 31 October 2016. Notification in major newspapers was published on 23 January 2016 and the extension notification has been announced in the MCMC website. Calls will be made to respondents selected at random from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm daily except national and Selangor public holidays. Further survey extensions will be announced in the MCMC website: www.mcmc.gov.my.

MCMC has assured that personal data collected will be kept in the strictest confidence and will be used only to formulate national statistics.
