The SkyWay network consists of Maxis’ VSAT Hub, many dispersed VSAT terminals and the satellite channels. The downlink channel (from the VSAT Hub to the VSAT terminals) ranges from 10Mbps up to 66Mbps while the uplink channels (from the VSAT terminals back to the Hub) range from 64kbps up to 2Mbps. The VSAT Hub is connected to the Internet as well as the PSTN. For your Intranet applications, a leased line is required between Maxis’ VSAT Hub and your Headquarters/Data Centre.
