Malaysia's premiere mobile enterprise solutions showcase
with conference and exhibition grows to two-days
An increasing number of local businesses are considering mobile
solutions to manage resources, increase their competitiveness
and profitability. This line of thought is reflected in Maxis' exciting
mobility solutions showcase targeted at enterprises, the
Solutions
Unplugged 2003: Conference and Showcase 2003 (SUC2003).
SUC2003 is an important event for Maxis as well as the enterprises
because it serves three purposes: Firstly, it is a barometer,
allowing businesses to examine their state of mobility readiness.
The overwhelming response and attendance at SUC2002 prompted
Maxis to make a break with tradition and widen its mobility solution
and wireless technology coverage into two days.
Secondly, it has become a focal gathering point for corporate
decision makers to take a reality check and bounce ideas with
their peers, professionals and mobile enterprise solutions (MES)
partners. The conference sessions will have business leadership
forums and multi break out track programmes to cover more issues,
trends, deployment challenges and share ideas on making mobility
work for businesses.
It will be interesting for some attendees' while for others
it will be a wake up call when they hear of local businesses
already using mobile enterprise solutions. The thought of going
wireless is no longer far fetched or a novelty. It is a real
and practical business solution.
Thirdly, it is a platform for innovative MES developers and
partners -both local and global - to engage with a like-minded
audience, and present their cases, solutions and advantages.
This year, SUC2003 will see a total of 29 MES providers coming
together in force. They will showcase applications and solutions
in areas such as mobile banking, reservation services, customer
relationship management, mobile field force automation, mobile
survey automation and mobile enterprise messaging systems, amongst
others. These include a robust and world-class mobile sales force
automation system, HandyOrder from i-Wap Systems Sdn Bhd and
the nation's first mobile ordering system, Malaysian Delights
from MGI Multimedia Sdn Bhd.
Furthermore, SUC2003 will also highlight the latest mobile devices
such as tablet PCs, biometric devices, mobile phones, personal
digital assistants (PDAs) and notebooks. The event also highlights
some of Maxis' customers who have deployed MES to their
competitive advantage. They will share their experience and provide
an opportunity for event visitors to interact with their mobile
enterprise applications.
SUC2003 is evident of rising interest and the state-of-readiness
for local businesses to adopt a wireless infrastructure and application,
showing that local businesses are willing to take a step into
the wireless world, making mobility truly work for their business.
