Mary Kay China opts for Motorola to deliver Enterprise Mobile Workforce Solutions


Cosmetics giant uses advanced wireless IT technology to empower fieldforce

BEIJING, June 17
- Chinese cosmetics giant, Hangzhou Mary Kay Co. Ltd. or Mary Kay China will use Motorola Inc.'s advanced wireless IT technology, Mobile Workforce System to empower its extensive network of dealers and agents.

Mary Kay China has begun deploying Motorola's Mobile Workforce System in April. The new system gives Mary Kay China's beauty consultants and customers real-time access to product and sales information through Short Message Service (SMS) on handsets, offering the direct selling cosmetics marketing company a cost-effective and user-friendly service to meet its rapid business growth in China. Through this relationship, Mary Kay China plans to further expand its business in the China market by leveraging on Motorola's advanced wireless IT technology.

Hangzhou Mary Kay Co. Ltd. is a fully-owned subsidiary of Mary Kay Inc. Mary Kay China's workforce, primarily beauty directors and consultants, will be able to check individual and team sales data along with personal and company information. Consumers will be able to receive real-time information about promotions and customer services handily via SMS. The new solution can dramatically enhance Mary Kay's information delivering efficiency and workforce productivity, increase operational cost-savings, and can help the company offer timely and easily accessible services to customers.

The cooperation between Motorola and Mary Kay brings the enterprise wireless applications in China into a new era. Motorola's mobile solutions and platforms cover different sectors, including banking, insurance, retailing, police, public transportation, utilities, and others. Motorola will join forces with other industry players to continue to create platforms that can proactively help vertical industry customers in a variety of ways, including services unification, cost reduction, efficiency improvement and mobile commerce generation, while further boosting revenue generation potential.

The Mobile Workforce System developed for Mary Kay is one of the mobility solutions Motorola has enabled for customers to maintain and strengthen their market position, improve efficiency and lower operating costs.
